Detailed Itinerary
Arrive at Turin or Milan airport and transfer directly to the Langhe, one of Italy’s most important food and wine regions. Check into your magnificent hotel, set in a restored castle overlooking the vineyards, enjoy the spa or simply sip a glass of wine before meeting the rest of the group and enjoying dinner together in the castle’s stunning hall.

Start your first day in Italy with the unique experience of being welcomed into an ancient private castle. Enjoy a fun introduction to local wines led by an expert sommelier and taste the wines produced on the estate during a lunch prepared for you in the ancient greenhouse. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the hotel’s spa and swimming pool or visiting the villages of the region before moving to a very fun local trattoria for dinner.

Spend the day discovering the two treasures of the Langhe: Barolo wine and white truffles. In the morning, enjoy a truffle hunt in a nearby forest with the help of an experienced trifulau and his dog. After the hunt, visit an important Barolo producer and taste the wines during a unique lunch among the barrels. In the early afternoon you will arrive at the private villa where you will spend the next two nights and enjoy a gourmet but local dinner in the villa’s dining room.

Enjoy the first pheasant shoot in the morning with a pizza based break between drives and return to the villa for lunch. Non-hunters are welcome to join in the shooting, relax at the villa or visit the surrounding towns of Pavia or Vigevano with a local guide. In the afternoon, enjoy an aperitif in the wine cellar of the estate, tasting wines produced in the same vineyards where you shot pheasants a few hours earlier, and finish the day with a relaxing dinner and evening at the villa.

Shoot pheasants in the morning and transfer to the small town of Verona after lunch. Take a stroll through the charming town before enjoying dinner together in a very nice local trattoria, famous for its risotto and Amarone wines.

Decide how to devote your day choosing between a tour of the sanctuary of hunting history: Gardone Val Trompia and its gun manufacturers. Here you will visit the 500-year-old Beretta company and discover the history of the family and the company in its gun museum. After a quick lunch, visit Piotti, a great example of craftsmanship with only 40 luxury guns produced each year. Guests not interested in visiting the gun manufacturers can opt for a cooking class in downtown Verona, followed by a guided walking tour of the city’s main attractions, including the Arena, after lunch. The whole group will meet again for dinner at another nice trattoria.
